Update

Wow!  What a crazy first 5 weeks of school!!  We are moving right along with our learning.  We just wrapped up our Inventions and Investigations unit in Science.  Below you will see pictures of our last investigation on Chromatography also known as Color Writing.  We are now moving on to Matter and Energy.

In Math, we have covered many topics including Place Value, Rounding, Adding and Subtracting including decimals and we are now working on Multiplication.  This week we began two digit by two digit multiplication.  The students learned three different methods to solve a two digit by two digit multiplication.  I will be posting videos to explain the steps used in each method.  The students do not need to be able to use each one, but should be able to use one with efficiency to solve double digit multiplication.

Our Austin field trip is right around the corner and only about a month away.  If your child is planning to attend, please make sure that their account is paid in full by this Friday, October 17 (this includes chaperones chosen to attend.)

Finally, if you did not get a parent conference confirmation and you sent in a request, please contact me to set up a conference.

I am looking forward to the rest of this year!!!
